Our Team’s Guide to Getting Stuff Done

We are in back to school mode over here (some of us literally!) which has us all in the mood to up our productivity game. Throw in the always-keeps-you-on-your-toes world of digital marketing and our team finds itself really relying on tools (both tech and non-tech) to keep us focused, organized and inspired. Read on for a look at some of our team’s favourites.

Monica, Co-Founder

Tech:

Non-Tech

As a breathwork facilitator, Monica is a hug fan of weaving meditation and breathwork into her workday,  for clarity, creativity and inspiration. Every Monday she starts her week with a breathwork session and sprinkles shorter meditations into her day-to-day through the week. Studies show that your ability to be productive + creative is directly related to your ability to be completely rest and unplug.. Kirstin, Co-Founder

  • The Libby App – lets her listen to library books during commutes

  • FreshPrep and Tractor at Home – for those days when she’s extra swamped or simply out of culinary inspiration
  • An old-school daytimer/planner (especially those with spaces for to do lists like the one from The Home Edit)
  • Seven Year Pen – Kirstin’s trusty writing companion which has lasted 5+ years so far!

Sonam, Account Director

  • Toggl – tracks time spent for each client
  • Grammarly – Ensures impeccable content by catching grammar or spelling issues
  • Google Tasks – Keeps daily to-do lists organised

Non-Tech:

  • Natural light – A simple yet effective tool. Sonam’s workspace is right by the window, and she finds it beneficial to soak in all that energising sunlight! Studies show that starting your day with natural light (vs screens) is important for eye health and overall well being. 

Rosa, Branding Expert

Tech:

  • Asana – A must-have for team projects
  • SCRL – Her choice for creating eye-catching carousels for design work

Non-Tech:

Krystal, Strategist + Account Manager

Tech:

  • Starting her day with a podcast (such as NYT’s “The Daily” or “Smartless”) gives her the boost she needs
  • Ember Mug – keeps her coffee warm as she dives into work

Non-Tech:

  • She loves the satisfaction of penning down her to-dos and striking them off as the day unfolds

Lorena, Content Creator + Account Manager

Tech:

  • Asana – For tracking projects and managing her to-do list
  • Toggl – Time management made easy

Non-Tech:

  • Fresh flowers from a local florist – a weekly ritual to brighten up her workspace
  • Ambiance sounds – the soothing rhythm of rain helps her concentrate
  • Time-blocking – designated time for tasks with all distractions, especially her phone and email, kept at bay
  • Time-batching – grouping similar tasks together to streamline her focus and reduce distractions
