We are excited to share in the success of Better Together, which has recently been awarded the .CA Impact Award in the Non-Profit category!
If you’re not familiar, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) each year celebrates the people and organizations that use their .CA website to make a difference in four categories: Public Sector and Not-for-Profit; eLearning; Small Business; and Applications.
Better Together is a project near and dear to us here at The Social Agency. It started in 2010 as a community forum with a mandate to encourage families in BC to eat meals together. This mandate stemmed from research demonstrating significant benefits of eating meals together for both children and adults.
The site and its design were developed by the uber talented folks at mod7, who brought us on board to build the community element.
Better Together has since grown to include a thriving website/blog; an active Twitter with close to 2000 followers, and a FB page with around 1000 active community members. We’re especially proud of the Hands-on Cook-off Contest, going into its third year this July!
