With a BA in Communications (SFU) and 15 years experience working in the digital media space, Kirstin was able to combine her two career passions at The Social Agency where she works with clients such as the BC Association of Farmers' Markets, White Spot Restaurants, and the BC Dairy Association to implement and manage social media campaigns. Kirstin spent 8+ years at New Media BC where she was the Communications and Program Manager. Kirstin was also the founding Creative Director of the Vancouver International Digital Festival (VIDFEST), which she oversaw from 2004 to 2008.

Kirstin has been a board director for both Wired Woman and the New Forms Media Society. She has also taught in the Award of Achievement in Social Media program at UBC Continuing Studies. In addition to her BA, Kirstin holds a Diploma in Executive Management from Simon Fraser University.

Kirstin lives on Burnaby Mountain with her husband, two daughters and their lab-heeler cross.




Monica's career in strategic communications and media relations began at the turn of the century in BC's life sciences industry and developed into a niche expertise in digital media while working with industry building groups like New Media BC, the New Media Innovation Centre, BC NET and many others.

Monica has since taken on the corporate world using her media relations savvy to solidify the reputations of clients ranging from the business systems masters at Wardell Professional Development to the masters of family nutrition at the BC Dairy Association.

Monica has recently been an industry instructor at UBC, teaching in their Award of Achievement in Social Media program. Passionate about her community, Monica has worked closely with charitable organizations including REED, the SA Foundation, held a founding position on the development team of Genesis Vancouver, and The Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of British Columbia.




Sonam is a goal-oriented and passionate communicator who brings a fresh approach and dynamic work experience to make her mark in the exciting world of communications.

Since attaining her Diploma in Public Relations, Sonam has worked with several non-profit organizations, including Spinal Cord Injury BC and the Vancouver Aquarium. She's also served as the Volunteer Communications Assistant at The Cerebral Palsy Association of BC, where she helped improve the company's social media presence and overall communication efforts.

When she's not helping companies communicate their best stories, Sonam enjoys pursuing her passion for cake decorating, creating inspiration boards on Pinterest, and spending time with her niece and nephew.





Josie’s launch into the Marketing and Communications industry began in the PR Department for Vancouver-based apparel company lululemon athletica. This was followed by international experience in Social Media and Marketing Management in the UK and Australia. With strengths in both public- and privately-held companies, she has built a dynamic career creating brand awareness for not-for-profit organizations and for-profit corporations.

Focused on creating positive global change, Josie focuses on businesses that support and elevate the communities they are in. Armed with a Design Diploma from Blanche Macdonald and a B. Comm from UBC, she is also a seasoned copywriter, eager to produce creative content with a razor sharp edge.




Channing Rodman is a social media and communications specialist. With 10 years of experience working in communications, Channing applies her community-based values to help clients get meaningful conversations started - from tiny neighbourhood projects to some of BC's biggest non-profits, universities and crown corporations. As a writer and editor, Channing has produced content for some of Canada’s best-loved websites and apps, including,,,  Lunapads, Better Together BC and We Heart Local BC.  When she isn’t writing, or cooking (or writing about cooking) she also occasionally teaches workshops - most recently on images, comics and storytelling at Carleton University.

A former Vancouverite, Channing is now based in Ottawa, Ontario with her husband and small daughter.




Cherish Bryck is a Vancouver-based photographer who specializes in commercial and stock photography.  She has worked with clients including DOXA, Decoda Literary Solutions, The Donnelly Group and Crofton House. Her work has been published in the Globe and Mail and featured in various prominent digital publications. As a contributing photographer for Stocksy, Cherish gets to fulfill her love of capturing quintessential everyday moments and creating lifestyle images that celebrate the beauty of real life.

When she peeks out from behind the lens, Cherish can be found walking in the woods where she lives with her family in North Vancouver.
