5 Tips for Better Instagram Stories

It’s no surprise with all of Instagram’s algorithm changes, less and less of your followers are seeing your posts these days. Enter: Instagram stories! Although there is no way to ensure that all of your followers will ever see all of your posts, IG stories increase the visibility of your profile and the chances of your static posts being seen. That’s why it’s important to include them in your social media marketing strategy.

  1. Use apps and online editing software like, Canva, Over and Unfold to create captivating stories which match your clients’ branding. People click through IG stories super fast, so it’s important to use aesthetically appealing images and beautiful styling to capture the attention of your audience. Make any calls-to-action short and sweet so people have time to read them!   2. Utilize Instagram’s interactive stickers like the poll, popular Q&A sticker or the opinion slider. These are a great way to get feedback from your audience and find out what kind of content resonates most with your audience. You can ask questions to see what people would like to see more of, ask people to vote on their favourite products, and more (bonus: it only requires a second or two for people to respond).

  3. Tag your partners, locations and use hashtags to increase the visibility of your stories. You might just land in the explore page which will increase traffic to your profile.

  4. Refrain from using stock/super stylized photographs and use natural, on-site images instead. So that means when you’re at your next brand photoshoot or at an event, grab those behind-the-scenes photos to share.
